Four Decades on Hollywood Road
Hollywood Galleries Limited was established in 1985 on Hollywood Road — the historic artery of Hong Kong's antique trade, where East and West have exchanged objects of beauty and significance for over a century. From our founding, we have specialised in Himalayan Buddhist art: the extraordinary sculptural and painted traditions of Tibet, Nepal, and the broader Himalayan world.

Every work we offer has been subjected to rigorous scholarly authentication. We work with leading academics, museum curators, and independent specialists to establish provenance, iconographic identification, and dating. Our standards are those of the major auction houses and institutional collections.

We maintain comprehensive provenance files for every work in our collection, including acquisition records, exhibition history, auction records, and scholarly references. Collectors receive a full dossier with each acquisition, providing the documentation essential for insurance, estate planning, and future sale.

Our Speciality
Himalayan Art: Sculpture & Painting
Our primary speciality is antique Tibetan sculpture — bronzes, gilt bronzes, and copper alloy figures from Tibet, Nepal, and the broader Himalayan region, dating from the 10th to the 19th century. We also hold an important collection of thangka paintings: the scroll paintings that are among the most distinctive and spiritually significant art forms of the Himalayan world.
We are particularly known for works of the highest iconographic and artistic quality — pieces that would be at home in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum, the British Museum, or the Musée Guimet. Our clients include private collectors, foundations, and institutions on every continent.
